How to use PG Lemon Drop

Introduction

PG LemonDrop is an application that has been written to simply and securely share information

between clients and staff. The PG LemonDrop application is a result of the new General Data Protection

Regulations which began in May 2018. This Law provides better protection for people’s personal data

and strengthens how companies deal with such data. One outcome is that personal and sensitive

information cannot be freely sent across the internet without some form of security, usually encryption,

to protect the data.

PG Lemon’s solution was to design a secure system that allowed staff and clients to send information to

each other to comply with the Law’s requirements.

This system has been tested and verified by Bulletproof, a world-leading security testing company.

All forms of information exchanged between client and staff can be shared through the application

including records for VAT returns, Payroll information and Personal Tax documents.

This document shows you how to start using this new system.

NOTE: To use PG LemonDrop subsequently just Click Here or type in https://lemondrop.PGlemon.co.uk into your web browser.

2. PG LemonDrop uses 2 Factor Authentication for improved security, and you will be prompted to

set this up after your first successful login. This will involve using your mobile phone number to do so.

NOTE:  Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a way to add additional security to your account. The first "factor" is your usual password that is standard for any account. The second "factor" is a verification code retrieved from your mobile device. Lemondrop uses your mobile phone for this purpose, which is why you register your mobile number when first using the service. 2FA is similar to the security token device that some banks require for online banking. Other names for 2FA systems include OTP (one-time password) and TOTP (Time-based One-time Password algorithm).

Once you have successfully logged in using your first time login details, you will be presented with a

page that looks like this:

Please note that the Mobile Number must be entered in the following format: +44 1234 123456

3. Once you have entered your mobile phone number, press 'continue' and you will receive a text

with a security code to complete the login process. You will then be shown a page that looks like

this:

This page is where you now enter the Security Code sent to you via SMS. If the code matches what we have on our system, you will be logged in! This will then prompt you to reset your password. We strongly advise you do this for security purposes.
